Ken has a diverse and unique background that fits perfectly into the mission of Safe at Neighborhoods, and like many on our team, he’s dedicated the majority of his adult life to protecting others.

Safety and security has been a primary focus of his professional life. He has more than eighteen years of experience in different levels of security, emergency preparation, emergency response and related fields.

Mike Aleckson

Creating innovative technology for over 30 years, Mike has led tech teams large and small, spanning his own consulting firms to complex IT departments to executive-level corporate leadership.

Over his career Mike has developed and delivered technology systems employed in a wide array of endeavors, everything from logistics to the treatment of leukemia to the cause of delivering developing-world children from poverty.

VP of Crisis Management

Twana Powell

Twana is a highly accomplished professional with proven success in conducting and leading high-profile  investigations and mitigating crisis and risks in the public and private sectors.

During her law enforcement tenure, Twana held several high ranks and positions and retired at the rank of First Lieutenant and Commander of the MSP Professional Standards Section (PSS), commonly referred to as Internal Affairs.

VP of Training and Content

Sarah Krebs

Sarah is the former AMBER Alert State Coordinator and Missing Children’s Clearinghouse Manager for the state of Michigan and has worked child abductions, sex-trafficking, violent crimes, organized crime, as well as heading the Missing Persons Unit for the Michigan State Police.

Sarah is also the president and founder of Missing in Michigan, a non-profit that assists the families of missing persons and work together with law enforcement to bring loved-ones home.

Client Success

Our Client Success Team works to onboard new clients and direct client questions and concerns to the appropriate Safe@Neighborhoods team member.

Chris Halliday

Security Advisor

Our Security Advisor has 33 years of experience as a Police Officer and Detective with the Detroit Police Department. This includes 20 years in the Sex Crimes Unit and 15 years working with the FBI as a Task Force Officer for Missing and Exploited children.

Robert Kane

Technology

Our Technology Team works with clients to tailor app features and administrative functions for the community. We offer technology support to clients as they integrate their member databases with our learning management system, which enables HOA administrators the ability to monitor reporting data and safety incidents within the community.
